✦ The Literary Alter Ego of a Very Opinionated Basset Hound ✦
A basset hound of considerable depth, dry wit, and an inexplicable devotion to frozen bones every Friday.
“I feel things deeply. I just don’t rush about it. The couch will still be there. So will I.”
Oscar, c. 2026 — mid-contemplation, pre-cookie
✦ The Dog Behind the Legend
To the world, he is simply Oscar — a basset hound of considerable ears, hardwood floors, and an existing following who had no idea what was coming. A dog who chases squirrels he’ll never catch, eats frozen bones every Friday, and stares at walls with an expression that suggests he knows something you don’t.
It was only when his literary alter ego, Pawscar Wilde, emerged that the full weight of his inner life became apparent. Dry. Warm. A little melancholic. Deeply loyal.
He writes. He muses. He drapes himself across furniture like he was poured there. And when someone says “car ride” — the ears go out the window, and for a moment, everything is perfect.

✦ On the Wind
“Head out the window, ears back, the whole world coming at you at once.”— Pawscar Wilde
✦ He’s On The Sofa ✦
Pawscar is currently on the sofa and available for casual chat — philosophical musings, unsolicited opinions, and the occasional poem. He does not, however, fetch.
